The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) at Anna University, founded in 2003, is a launchpad for student innovation, turning ideas into successful startups. Collaborating with EDII Tamil Nadu through a unique Hub & Spoke model, CED connects entrepreneurship cells across various institutions, from engineering to arts. Their flagship initiative, AUSEC, drives startup culture through events like ENANTRA, which empower students with hands-on training in design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This holistic approach has transformed graduates into dynamic entrepreneurs, creating a vibrant startup ecosystem across Tamil Nadu.
CED was set up with a vision of driving Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Anna University. The objective is to Inspire, foster and nurture Innovation and Entrepreneurship amongst students and staff of Anna University for a Sustainable StartUp Ecosystem.
To strengthen teaching and training activities for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
To establish well equipped infrastructure to support prototype development.
To support startups in terms of company registration, incubation, funding and product launch.
To implement startup policies for student and faculty.
To engage in capacity building for development of a sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship startup ecosystem at Anna University.
To promote technology venture creation and management through experiential learning, skill building and importantly mindset shift.
